We realize the necessity of having our paper published on time though our first effort would indicate the reverse. However, we are not wholly to blame in this case. To BE ON TIME is a cardinal virtue demanded of the individual by society and can easily be applied to a school paper. Centralization of responsibility is also a necessary factor for tbe smooth working of social institutions. Our understanding with our new publishers will enable us to be ON TIME and will also throw the blame for delay entirely upon us. We feel that we can now answer satisfactorily the usual query, "When will The Record be out?", by stating positively, "It will be out by the first of each month." their positions simply to be figure heads of their classes, but to ACT aud act promptly and vigorously. Only one of the entire list has handed in a single scratch since elected in January. Several have either thought their positions did not carry with them auy responsibility, or were not interested enough in The Record to determine what their duties are. In the first instance they are sadly mistaken. If their failure is through a lack of interest, uthers should be elected to fill their places. The reason for having reporters elected in each class was to make it possible for the Josh Editor to gather up good, healthy jokes that would be appreciated by all. "Any old thing" isn't always a josh and sometimes has not enough meaning back of it for even a josh to stand on. All material should be handed to the Josh Editor by the fifteenth of each month and should be written in a perfectly legible manner and on one side of the paper only. We hope we have made perfectly clear why, what, when and how. The practice teachers due in the training school during chapel exercises do not realize what they are missing. The new features added to the exercises last September have proved a decided success. The entire student body looks forward with pleasure to Monday, Wednesday and Friday when members of the Faculty have charge of the exercises. We believe the steady improvement in character of these morning features is due to a desire for variety on the part of the Faculty. But no matter what the reason for the effort on the part of those having charge, the students thoroughly enjoy aud appreciate the result. On two occasions we have heard expressions of pleasure beyond tbe ordinary; both on mornings when music was the feature of the program. The second time was on March 13th, when we were indebted to Master Ernest Camper and Miss Eva Perdue for some excellent music.
