At a meeting of the school, held February 5th. in the interest of the school paper, the following resolution was passed: Whereas, A number of our advertisers have complained that advertising in the Normal Record does not pay, and since it is only just that these who do advertise with us should receive our support as a school, be it Resolved, That we, the students of the State Normal School at Chico, will, as far as possible, confine our trading to the regular advertisers in the Normal Record. This resolution was introduced by the management as a business proposition. The Record is carried on in the interest of the students and education generally. In view of this fact, the students thought it their duty to support, by thair patronage, the merchants who support the paper by advertising through it.
